About This Quote

The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dreams shall never die. The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dreams shall never die. It is a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

that says that no matter what happens, good will always win over evil. That is a powerful message that should be believed in by everyone. The World War II World War II was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945. It involved many countries from all six continents.

More than 70 million military personnel from over 30 countries were involved in some capacity. In all, more than 100 million people were killed, most of whom were civilians in the opposing nations. The majority of people who died were civilians due to war crimes and atrocities committed during the conflict by both sides in the war.

The war began when Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939 and eventually led to a two year standoff between Nazi Germany and the Allied powers that ultimately resulted in a truce when Germany seemed defeated in May 1945. The war was ultimately won by the Allies when Japan surrendered unconditionally in September 1945 after suffering tremendous losses during the Pacific War which preceded it. The attacks on Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima The two attacks on Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima respectively became famous because they were bloody without precedent in modern history. Both were well planned attacks by Japan who wanted to weaken America's resolve to keep fighting back in order for Japan to have an easy victory over their enemies as they had already been losing battles against them for some time now through 1942 onward.

In both cases it was carried out as surprise attacks as both had little notice as they only just learned of these attacks as they happened too closely together as both happened at around 11:30 A.M., which was right before lunch time for many workers at both places respectively as seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrischibbett/4266371622/in/photostream . Both attacks took place on a Monday which is a fairly slow day for business at most places, but not at Pearl Harbor where many of its workers had already left for lunch which was why it wasn't discovered until much later although there were no casualties or damage done at either place due to their lack of notice however there was damage done at Hiroshima where several people died from the initial blast there as seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chris
